Lion This mezuzah cover incorporates artist Edoardo Villa’s panel that depicts a lion. This is the symbol for the tribe of Judah. Judah was the fourth son of Jacob and Leah. In the blessing given by Jacob in Genesis 49, he called Judah a lion for his courage and thus the lion is used as the symbol for the tribe.
